我觉得五年到十年之间都不一定能普及，主要是老百姓的心理接受问题。人们常常用飞机的auto pilot 来做类比，但是飞机在空中面临的”路况“要比地面交通简单多了，单纯多了。

I basically never pay attention to the traffic if someone else is driving. The trust includes that the driver himself is a human too and doesn't want to die. But computer is a different thing, with no life.

No one knows the answer. Autonomous vehicles are 90% reliable now, but the 100% or even 98% reliable ones are still years ahead. The last 10% in safety improvement is the most challenging part.
