      檢方計劃傳喚共計9名渥太華居民及商戶代表作為目擊者作證，當中包括代表在渥太華市中心生活和工作民眾對自由車隊組織者提起集體訴訟的李澤西。而為自由車隊兩名被告組織者利奇和巴博辯護的律師今日則表示反對，指利奇和巴博已承認：參與抗議的部分個人的行為干擾了公共交通、以及財產和企業的合法使用和享有，目擊者沒有與利奇或巴博有任何直接互動，組織者也沒有承認造成騷亂，因此9名證人的證詞從嚴格法律意義上來說是無關緊要，沒必要傳召。檢方則認為，這不足以合理阻止直接受到自由車隊示威抗議影響的民眾作證。
