Another Option would be to purchase the media kit (US$45) which includes Oracle for Solaris Intel (no download from Oracle). I ordered one over a year ago (still US$75 at the time, 10/00 version of Solaris 8 with Oracle 8.1.6 for Solaris Intel) so probably there are new versions with the 10/01 media kit. I can' t find the content of the media kit anymore (it was there before) so I can't tell which version of Oracle is included.
So I have (or will have):
- Solaris 8 for Intel (7/01)*
- Oracle 8.1.6 for Solaris Intel

* You'll need to apply patches to update it to the lastest version. If you're going to use it in production you'll need to apply the patches anyway since the login vulnerability was found November last year, that's after they released 10/01.
