本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛The best gain is my English. When I first landed I knew only about 1,000 words. Today, all my writing and speaking skill are learnt from complaints. What I get are financial gains from compensation, better understanding how the governments and economy runding than average immigrants, even local people, and I think I have taught many public servants that we, Chinese, are not as so soft as they thought. Following are my experiences:
1. Never fight in the court. It is not only costly, but put government into a position that they will have to fight back. Very little chance to negociate at beginning stage. And you know what, the lawyers acting for government really like to extend the proceedings to make more money, or like to win to build their reputation.
2. Better manage your spare time. Complain important matters.
3. Before you complain, design your strategy.
4. Control your emotion, don't get to concern with the result. It is fun and if you win, you will have some kind of compensation. It you loss, you only loss your time. Try to think about other gains including you communication skill, practic your English. Postively thinking about what are you doing - you are not only fight for Chinese as a whole, but also help to build a better Canada.
5. Most important, never forgive before conduct evaluation.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
