本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I spent the past weekend to finish this novel "Harmony" by Joanna Goodman--a Canadian writer,also author of "You Made Me Love You".
It is a story about Secrets,Redemption,Self-finding.Terrific storyline and stunning character description! I like the character Jean--the heroine
Anne's mother.Her life is kinda tragedy,but i have to admire her courage to escape Mormon Polygamy. She is a compelling woman and a
great mother even she left two sons behind. She kept the secrets and suffered for years which took a lot of heart-wrenching pain and loneliness.
I am deeply touched after Jean told her story to Anne aslo when Anne meditated on her own marriage with Elie.Another reason why i like this book
is its surrounding is Toronto where i live and am familar with. I am very relieved when i see an happy ending of the book--Evan's club feet
finally straightned out and pefectionist Anne realized that her life was sort of perfect and started to feel damn good after she had been whiney since
Evan was born with club feet.
