How to watch Chinese TV on PBO media palyer-for beginners

choose the channels you like and add them to your favourite folder. The important one is HDPfans.

download 2 firmwares from the following links

http://www.patriotmemory.com/software/BoxOfficeFirmware/ES-51-283G-PCMPBO25-P02.rar
http://www.4shared.com/file/_YgMRCqf/P05-IMS-DEMO__BC16_megaYT4opt.html

unzip the two files (they are all called install.img) and save them on the root directory of USB keys (FAT32 format)

update your PBO with the P02 version then update the PBO with the P05. Be patient. The PBO will flash each firmware twice by itself.

Install Telnet client on your computer:
control panel/programs and Features/Turn Windows features on or off/select telnet client, click OK

Find out the IP address on your PBO.

open command prompt, type:
telnet xxx.xxx.x.xx (which is the IP address of the PBO)
at login, enter "root"

vi /usr/local/bin/scripts/menu.rss

use arrows to browse to "fav_username"
press i to enter insert mode. change the "username" to your own username in the metafeeds.com

press Esc to exit insert mode

Type ":wq" then enter to save change and quit.

check your changes using the cat command.
