本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I called CIC and they told me to do following:
1. photocopy every page of your passport, and on the same page and for each page, ask certifier to either write or type "I certify this is the true copy of the original copy" and sign. I also put the name/number of the document (passport) and my certifier's name/titile below as required by CIC. It is painful, as I used two passports in the last 5 years.
2.If there are stamps in Chinese, you need to ask another person (based on CIC agent's suggestion) who knows both Chinese and English to translate it into English. Anyone other than the family member is fine, which was confirmed by CIC agent. I asked my friend to do it for me, and put her declaration below the translation. I also have a couple of stamps not clear, but it doesn't matter that much.

I sent my application on Monday (Nov 5th) and they got it on Nov 8th. I sent it on urgent case, and they processed it immediately and approved on Nov 9th. I am waiting for the letter from CIC now to pick up the new card.更多精彩文章及讨论，请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
