The Ontario Highway Traffic Act legislates how vehicles may be used on Ontario's roads. Bicycles are considered vehicles as part of the Act.
The Section 56 of the Act states that the Demerit Point System is for the regulation of motor vehicles, and so as such does not apply to cyclists.
