枫下家园 / 电脑用户 / A question on shaw@home cable internet: I set up the internet connection on Win98. But cannot get connected from Win2000 installed on the same computer. Is there any method to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.

If you have no problem in Win98, it should also work in Win2000. I think you may have set up something wrong in Win2000. Are you sure the Network card setup and the TCP/IP set up are both correct ?

Yes, the setting is the same as 98. On Win98, each time the modem is power-off, I have difficulty in re-connect. But the connection is very stable after finally I get connected. So I don't want to re-set the modem.

Anyone has some idea on how the cable modem and network work?
