Every composer has a role to play in the history with their unique creation. There is no need to replicate greatness nor need to compare and rank them in my opinion. Legends has them all just as an eco system has to have all.

If you read the original post carefully, you should understand that it's the symphony as an artistic form that's of the concern, not the ranking of the individual composers.Regarding Franz Schubert, I was referring to the extension and enrichment of the symphonic form that he could very likely have achieved, had he had lived another 31 years. Sadly, after Schubert's untimely death, no one else has ever achieved that extension and enrichment; possibly no one ever will ---- again, I'm talking about the form.

Distortion beyond imagination :-). Good try! Anyone who has an elementary school musical eduation knows the importance to stay precise in terms of scale and length of a note to create proper resonance, i.e music. Otherwise, it is noise.
