We are currently recruiting a Junior Accountant/Financial Analyst for our client, a leader in the automotive industry. They manufacture automotive components/parts and are a global company with approximately 250 employees at their Concord facility.
The Junior Accountant/Financial Analyst will work in the Finance Department and will be responsible for the performance of a variety of duties including some accounting clerk responsibilities. Specific responsibilities include weekly billing, accounts receivable administration, preparing financial ad-hoc reports for management, and assisting with payroll. Other responsibilities will include compiling month-end data, entering journal entries, and filing. Integrity and strong attention to detail are crucial for this role.
Position: Junior Accountant/Financial Analyst
Location: Concord, ON (Highway 400/Highway 7)
Salary: $35,000 - $39,000
Duration: Full time, Permanent
Duties:
• Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, account statements and other relevant statements
• Communicate with regional offices to ensure billing process is complete and investigate errors
• Reconcile and enter client payments
• Respond to inquiries, maintain good working relations and solve problems
• Research data to create reports and perform analysis
• Assist in the administration of payroll and payroll processing reports
• Manage and handle finance related inquiries
• Maintain detailed financial records and documentation for audit purposes, in accordance with legislative requirements
• Support preparation of monthly financial statement package
• Enter accounting journal entries into ledger
• Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person
• Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
• College or University degree in Business or Accounting
• Recent Grad, ideally with Co-Op or 1 year experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Computer skills required
• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
