1. In some corporate context, it is not impossible that an invoice also serves the purpose of being a receipt.

2. Be very careful when you talk to your boss like that. You as a senior accountant or supervisor are equally tested of your coaching skills and team work capacity. We don't deal with ideal work situations all the time, we have to deal with problems, issues, imperfections or even idocrcy sometimes.

3. A better survival skill is to present your boss with a solution, not with a complaint, or problem.

从accounting来说，你收到invoice，你要付钱给人家，你拿到的是receipt的话，说,明钱已经付了（应该谁付，实际是谁付，怎么book之类的).
