Duties:
The Career Management Program at OSFI offers recent University graduates with some relevant work experience the opportunity to train for a challenging career in regulating Canada’s financial industry. Successful candidates will develop along a two year structured career path gaining exposure to a variety of issues driving today’s financial industry. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will be qualified to join one of OSFI’s Supervisory teams. Program Structure:
The Career Management Program is a training and development ground for high-potential candidates. Trainees entering the Career Management Program will move along a career path which includes a systematic rotation of three, 8-month work assignments over a 2-year period. Rotations are based on background, skills and interests of the participants, as well as the needs in the various divisions within Supervision. Progress through the program will be based upon individual performance and the development of requisite skills. RE-03 level trainees have the opportunity to be promoted to an RE-04 level trainee, typically after 1 year of the program, if they demonstrate that they have met the qualifications for a promotion as determined by the CMP program guidelines.

CMP trainees will be on probation for the entire duration of the program.

When a CMP trainee has completed their training and development in the program and has demonstrated that they meet the qualifications for promotion, they will subsequently be promoted to a working level position. Therefore upon completion of the CMP program, successful participants will be appointed indeterminately into a working-level RE-05 position at OSFI.
