• All aspects of the billing cycle, including preparation of bills and pro-formas.
• Verifying and processing client invoices.
• Liaising with lawyers and assistants regarding clients’ requirements and billing formats.
• Contact for E-Billing, including setting up e-invoicing and assisting with issues.
• Downloading and supporting all uploads.
• Making corrections to time dockets.
• Providing support and troubleshooting for all billing functions and inquiries, as well as providing suggestions to improve the process.
• Preparing billing and running reports.
• Assisting in all aspects of month-end processes and co-ordinating with other employees involved in billing.
• Various other duties, as assigned by the Office Manager.
The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:
• College Diploma or related work experience.
• 3-5 years experience in a billing role.
• Previous law firm or professional services firm experience is a definite asset.
• Experience with Acumin is preferred.
• Microsoft Office 2007 experience, with advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Above-average attention to detail.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
