Reporting to Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s finance functions, including accounting, accounts payable, planning/budgeting, and co-management of accounts receivable. This is a very hands-on, roll up the sleeves position responsible for accounting processes & controls.RESPONSIBILITIES
 Knowledge of financial and management accounting in a manufacturing environment
 Accurate & timely preparation of monthly financial statements and all internal / external reporting
 Knowledge of local, federal and provincial regulatory agencies
 Knowledge of Canadian GAAP and IFRS
 Ability to enforce administrative financial control systems, policies and procedures
 Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
 Strong Leadership skills
 Responsible for on-going and ad-hoc business analyses, other related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
 College or University Degree + Professional Accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA)
 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company environment
 Experience with GAAP principles and applications, thorough knowledge of all relevant government requirements regarding financial record keeping and reporting
 Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
 Management or supervisory experience
 Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
 Computer literate, ability to adapt to and learn new software
