  • 各位做工资的同学们,请教下employer有义务安排员工的vacation,相关法律是怎么规定的?例如2013年的假期如果不能carry forward,那么必须要在2014年几月份之前用完呢?如果员工就是不安排自己的假期,那么到期还没用掉的假期是怎么处理呢?先谢谢大家
    • 安省应该是在连续12个月内雇主有权安排假期,之后员工必须最少修2周。有工会要参照collective agreement,比如最多carry 40小时到下一年,多的部分公司付钱。
      • 那么如果员工在限期内还是没有休完假期,这些假期就算是丢了吗?公司可以自动把这假期消了吗?(关键是合法吗?)谢谢。

        • 你如果和公司没有相关合同,没有工会要求。这样不行。我记得以前公司要和员工签合约,还要得到批准。

    • My company's policy: No carry forward for vacation day, the cut-off date is fiscal year end date.
      2 months prior to the date, the supervisor would notify you how many days leftover, ask for your schedule of day-off; after then 1 month notice, she/he will schedule the date for you (you lose the chance arranging the dates by yourself).
      The co. derives from U.S. with almost 100 yrs, so in my opinion, the policy is well protected by the related laws, as long as it's listed on the co. policies, which has been distributed (ask for every new employee's signature) and documented.
      • 谢谢你的回复。我LG公司跟你们的差不多,不过可以carry 1个星期假到下个年度,但必须2个月内用掉,否则就算自动用掉。我们公司没有相关policy,现在貌似我要弄一个vacation的policy,所以实在有点拿不准,深怕整错了。看了一圈安省labour的网站,愣是没找着明确的说法:(

The policy should announced by the company, or some one on the behalf of the company. The policy should state that if the vacation days can carry foward to the next year, or when the vacation days must be used by some date next year and also state the result if the vacation days are not used out by the cut off date.
