In most US states(except for San Jose, MA, Connecticut..etc, of course), living expense is lower than that in Toronto, even after you take exchange rate into account

Give you an example. My family has bought a house in a very nice suburb of Dallas, 2500 squre feet, 4 bedrooms ,two car garage, a huge back yard. It only cost about 15,0000 USD.

It's quite cheap in the midwest too. In Cleveland, Ohio, you can buy a big house under 200,000 US.In the twin-city, Minesota, it's about the same. Even around big cities, like suburbs of Chicago, say, in Evanston, Deerfield, Skokie, you can get a mid-size house (2200 squre feet) for about 200,000. Just avoid those hot-shot places, like San Jose, Boston, and Connecticut. All these houses I am talking about are actually around heavily populated metro areas, the houses in those southern states (such as Alabama) are much cheaper.
So the average housing price for US is very likely to be 140000

It's free education, too many scholarship and grants for local people, even more than Canadian students.
