GST=Goods and Service Tax, a 7% tax on almost all goods and services provided in Canada ; PST=Provincial Sales Tax, Not all sales are subject to PST.

HST applys only to purchases in Nfld, which is similar to ON's GST+PST. If you click ON in dell's check out, you'll find GST and PST, no HST.
