枫下家园 / 生活杂事 / 请问在蒙特有移民接待中心吗,到了蒙特会因为英语一般而生活困难吗?(听说那里说英语的不多见),另外房子是否好租。

The best way is, find a hostel on Internet. Those "imm receptional center" are just not reliable.

hostel is sth like 'bed and breakfast', I think.
'immigration reception centre' probably charges more.

come on, montreal is an international city, most montrealers in central and west montreal are bilingual(at least). I just don't guarantee people who lives west of Papineu speak English, but they definitely understand English.

It's a tradition in Montreal that people love moving at the end of July.To my experience, it's still much easier to get an affordable place in Montreal than in Toronto. You can try Cote des Neiges/Cote Ste Catherines area, Verdun area, and South shore if you don't tend to live in downtown. Transportation is convenient, and much cheaper than here.
