Are u kiding, man? If I failed the test, I should have received a letter from CIC within 10 days after the test.As I recalled, the lady at test centre said that. I called CIC many times, they can only provide those info that I can also get from CIC's e-service. "Once they make a decision, they'll notify me by mail." This is what I've got every time I was lucky enough to get through and talk with CIC's representatives. But the point is how long I need to wait for the fucking oath-taking letter! (Sorry for my language)

man, i am not joking with u. as i remember, the lady said if u pass, u will get a letter in two and half month. if fail, get another letter after 6 months.

Finally, I got the notice of attending ceremony, which is scheduled on May 26.CIC received my application June 17, 2003. Scarborough office started to process my case on Oct. 22, 2003. CIC sent me a letter to write citizenship test on Jan 21, 2004. I received the notice of taking oath May 17,2004. good luck!
