工作学习 / IT技术讨论 / Questions about VC++.Hi there: I have some questions about VC++. I am studing VC++ now. But I found the parts about ActiveX Container, Activex Sever, ActiveX Automation,ActiveX controls are difficult to understand. I want to know if those kinds technologies are still used or are out of dates. I am not sure if I should study those or just by pass them to study ATL. Please advise.

if you are biginner, don't spend more time on such kind of stuff, com/ole is more complex than it should be to most of the peopleM$ is trying to fix that problem(or to say hide the complexity of the implementaion) in the newer version, com+ is an approach, .net runtime hide the complexity even better. If you already very familair with VC , and want to do something beyond normal, you need to learn it.

Thanks, more question about VC++Yes, I am beginner in VC++ world. I want to know. What kinds of application are using VC++ now. Is MFC out of date. Is ATL popular now.
Most company do not want to use VC++ to build GUI because it is too complex, so where they use VC++.Thanks for the reply.

Both MFC and ATL are important. My current project is building ActiveX server by using ATL. I believe the only usful thing you can build with VC++ is COM object.

不瞒兄弟,我也是初学者,我觉得这些个技术啊,都大有前途,ATL最适合创建Activex control,所以认准微软就使劲学吧高手门这会都在睡梦中呢,别打搅他们乐。
