If it is made in the US, you don't need to pay duty. But, technically, need to pay GST and PST. I found out if the product is small and not expensive, they sometimes don't charge you anything.

How about duty? If I only need to pay PST and GST, that's still a good deal. Future Shop $1799CND, J&R online only $739USD+$80shipping.

if the product is not made in the US (probably Mexico as well, you need chack), you will have to pay duty. I don't know the rate. I think it depends on the category your product belongs to and probably where it was made.

BTW, the GST and PST is calculated based on the total of product price and duty.

看要是多贵的东西. 有时除了PST,GST之类,还有关税(Custom, or Tariff), 另外就是所谓的Broker Fee,因为如果涉及通关的话,就会有.我买了一个200多元的东西,就付了一个通关的代理费,加起来80多元(包括各种税).
