我在国内有一对夫妇好友，他们2003年11月短登录后拿了枫叶卡就回国继续工作。后来国内情形好，又不打算来这里。但今年国内形势又让他们决定要来这里，但枫叶卡快过期了。 如果在过期之前来，他们住满三年后又可能拿到公民身份吗？ 枫叶卡到期后，他们在申请延期时有可能被拒吗？ 有什么好的方法处理此事？请指教！ 多谢您的回复！

他们PR卡已经是废卡了,因为没有满足任意5年住满两年的要求.PR身份已经没有了,后面说的公民申请就更不可能了.

1) they should come back before PR card expiry date
2) they should renew PR once in Canada;
3) they should be eligible for citizenship application after 3-years in Canada.
