Rock Jack：你好！关于法语你是说COFI课程可以上7~10个月？这个学习时间根据什么来确定？你说法语很难学，真让我心怵。我原以为，对于语言这个东西，当你处于这个语言环境时，如果你肯下工夫去学，那么总有一天你可以自如地运用它。如果我完成了整个COFI的课程后也还不能在日常生活中较好地使用法语，我真担心我九岁的女儿不能适应Montreal的法语教育！这样看来，我们不能选择在Montreal定居了，尽管我们喜欢这个文化艺术气息浓厚的美丽城市。

Don't worry about frenchCOFI时间根据法语水平来定，没有基础的一般是7个月，完成以后有的可以加3个月。法语是难，但大多人学不好法语不是因为难，而是不用，因为在这说英语一样可以。
小孩入学前有一个欢迎班，学习法语，9岁的孩子肯定半年内就可以给你纠正发音用词了。如果你能督促他的英语的话，以后上英语大学，就可以成为真正的fully trilingual 了。

我也在为此踌躇，不过原因不竟相同。我可能会带孩子先去，而montreal不象多、温市有相熟的老朋友，因而有对不可知情况的胆怯, 除此之外，只是对多学一种语言和体验另一种生活的向往。选择就是舍得，有得必有舍，关键是你到底需要什么。况且，落地后的二次选择可能更为客观
