incremental restore 的步骤？我是这样做的。
restore db name incremental taken at timestamp5
restore db name incremental taken at timestamp4
restore db name incremental taken at timestamp3
restore db name incremental taken at timestamp2
restore db name incremental taken at timestamp1
restore db name incremental taken at timestamp5
rollforward db name to end of logs and complete
我做incremental restore，需要把以前的全部加上才能成功。否则就是提示incomplete.

问题是如果我要每天备份，每天restore到其他机器。restore的指令就越来越长。

所以你要定期做full backup 口牙。我不是DBA，只知道一些皮毛。备份策略是DBA重要的知识之一。

incremental应该只是备份的一种方式吧，应该还有类示于differential/normal之类的吧，我不懂数据库，但搞网管时记得是一星期全备份一次，然后每天incremental的。

I think you can restore the oldest backup, then rollforward to the time you like ........I think you can restore the oldest backup, then rollforward to the time you like if you have archive logs and active logs. But it's suggested that you make a full backup(online or offline) every week, otherwise you should keep so many archive log files and waste your disk space.
