I deal with Microsoft support before:1st level, handle kind of FAQ type of thing. Send you some testing software and looking for trace of possible error.
2nd level, some advanced developer who use the product a lot and have insight detail about the product.
3rd level, normally called developer support. The developers who develop the products.
