工作学习 / IT技术讨论 / How to share one cable between two computers?Hi, I have one cable modem and two PCs. What's the best way to share the network?
1. Buy an extra modem and make a three way connector for the co-axial cable? By this way can I get two IP addresses using only one cable?
2. Buy a hub and share TCP/IP connection? Do I need to setup one PC as server?
Some other way? Thanks for your help.

Use XP or windows 98 as internet share, disadvantage:server but on if others want to use internet.
how to do: buy 2 NIC install to 2 pc, and make a cross cable, ass 3rd nic to the server
or use Cable/ DSL router, 150$, have 4 ports hub. expensive but easy and stable
