actually, if you install xp first, you just need to edit some files under xp. then it will work fine. but installing 2000 is the easier way.

DX(s): I have xp installed, now i want to install win2000 , I have only one HD. 1. what's the easiest way to install 2000 and remove xp. 2. what's the possible way to keep them both active. Thank you very much!

先备份xp地这两个文件ntldr, ntdetect.com,安装后，把xp这两个文件覆盖2000的.(启动盘根目录下的)

第一个我还真没试过。xp不好用，我只是先有xp再安装的2000。看看别的高手怎么做的吧。

同一块硬盘可以,但好象要安装在不同的分区
