I think with win2000, you should install IIS other than PWS. I am not a profesiional, but I use PWS under win98,and it woks well.I just guess.

Windows 2000所有版本都内含IIS，但是默认安装时是没有选中的。你可以这么办....Start => Settings => Control Panel => Add/Remove Programs =>Add/Remove Windows Components =>选中 Internet Information Services (IIS)
(中文版的方法一样)

For intranet. In Win2000 Professional, when you install IIS, it install PWS
in fact. Else how to use IP. Thanks.

for 2000 pro, IIS is PSW and for server is IIS. The different is performance. for the error message, it is from client? this mean that the hosting name is not find in DNS server, try to use server IP address.
