actually, it never reaches 2M. The fastest I noticed so far is 70k. You are sharing with the people in your region, so the bottleneck is at evening. Plus, expect a couple of days outage each month.sympatico is more reliable, but I've been using this @home for over three years, just too lazy to make the switch.

My friend told me that the ADSL (same as with Bell Sympatico) speed at Vancouvor is as high as 3 M, and it is expected to reach 8 M in a very near future. However, the speed you get is affected by the distance from your home to the server.

ADSL随距离远近不同你可以获得的带宽也不同，离局端设备500ft.你至少可以获得6mbps约700KB/s 如果大于6000ft.或许就会降到2~3Mbps如果到12000ft还是会比56k的猫快的。

@home is backed by Excite. Just last month, Excite was talking to another backbone service (I forgot the name) in a bet to reduce the outages (the very fact that Sympatico got the market share from @home). So let's keep our fingers crossed.
