pls browse the website - www.umlchina.com, u can find lot of useful documents and softwares about uml. i think u can self-study if u have software design experience(whole lifecycle).

Easy to say Man. I can pick up a language syntax easily. But those high level conceptual design, it is very hard to grasp without a good guidance

Soup, All my computer knowledge is learned by myself, from books, projects, ...I believe others can make it, too.

I agree, Everything can be learnt by ourselves, but there is a matter of learning curve. I attended a seminar on MS .NET. What I learn there one day worth my whole week's reading.
