It's like many other activities, one should be very mindful about what he is doing and listen to his body.There are several yoga styles. Some are more physically challenging, some are not at all. I never had problem with Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. But when I started Ashtanga Yoga, I got injuries several times. Actually I'm still in the recovery process of a knee injury.

Yoga can't be taught online. A better way is you go to YMCA and start taking their yoga classes. Those are easy to start, and beneficial if you keep practising.

For thousands of years, yogies practised without wearing anything. I assume that it's the most authentic way.
